Say His Name

Jesus.

I have been burning all day with this message, this fire, this desire, this urgency …

To tell somebody … everybody …

SAY. HIS. NAME.

Why was the Woman at the Well the first evangelist in the New Testament?

Because she knew she had been set free. She was forgiven much, and she loved much.

This is my story.

No. Literally, my exact story.

I am her. She is me.

The only thing that separates us is two millenia and a few thousand miles.

When Jesus shows up, calls out your sin, forgives you with a relentless love you have never known, and releases you into purpose and passion … the world will know. You cannot contain that kind of fiery love. It burns in the bones.

Today, I can’t stop thinking about the power in HIS NAME.

So I took a deeper dive into a few verses in the Gospel of John that talk about this. Take a look with me.

John 1:12-13 says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who BELIEVE IN HIS NAME: who were born, not of blood, not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

When you are truly born again, you will burn with zeal for Him to be known, for HIS NAME to be exalted.

In that verse, John 1:12, “NAME” does not refer to the term by which He is called, but it refers to what His Name actually means … “THE LORD IS SALVATION.”

Earlier, as I was studying this, my playlist “randomly” landed on a song, “Jesus, Yeshua,” and it just “happened” to be singing “The Lord of Salvation” at the exact moment I was reading that phrase. Then, as I just typed it above, the same exact thing happened. I typed the phrase as they were singing the phrase.

HIS NAME!!!! When we speak His Name, when we call on His Name, when we offer His Name to another, when we share His Name in context of The Good News of The Gospel … it is The Lord of Salvation (oh. my. gosh. it just happened again with this song).

*tears*

The Name above all Names!

Jesus.

Every time we speak His Name, we are declaring into the atmosphere and into the earth … “THE LORD IS SALVATION”

There is NO OTHER NAME by which we must be saved.

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:12

It’s THE NAME!!!!!

Jesus. Yeshua. King of Kings. Lord of Lords.

He is the Lord of Salvation. There is no other. His Name alone guarantees our eternity with Him and saves our souls from eternal damnation.

I challenge you today … maybe you know the answer immediately, and I rejoice if you do … but do you remember a defining moment when you were born again? Does your life look different than it did before? Do you believe in HIS NAME?

Believing in GOD alone is not the same. It must be HIS NAME. Do you believe in the NAME OF JESUS - the LORD OF SALVATION - the only One who has ever died for your sins so you can live for His glory?!

John 2:23 says, “… many believed in His Name …”

And John 3:18 says, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not BELIEVED IN THE NAME of the only begotten Son of God.”

The entirety of The Gospel lies in the power of His Name.

There is ONLY ONE who ever lived and earned the title, “LORD OF SALVATION.”

Why?

Because He is the Son of God, and He sacrificed Himself to SAVE YOU from the pit of hell - on earth and beyond.

SAY HIS NAME.

Say it often. Say it slowly. Say it quietly. Say it loudly. Say it when you pray. Say it when you talk to others. Say it in private. Say it in public. Say it from the platform. Say it in the streets. Say it on the WORLD WIDE web.

I believe we will see more and more of God’s chosen ones saying His Name like never before. The Holy Spirit is highlighting this to me today. I believe people are being invited to speak with more boldness and clarity - to believe in His Name and to say His Name in a greater way.

The world needs this NAME!!! The Only Name that will set us apart and pierce through the darkness is the Name of Jesus.

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

SAY. HIS. NAME.
